Why This Page Is For You
About: a doorless tower and the voice that sang anyway. For you if: someone's worry, or your own old caution, keeps
laying stones around your life, and your circle keeps shrinking.
What The Mandala Shows
From a stone-arched window at the top, an immense braid pours straight down the page, moonflowers woven through its
strands and a great night-moth resting midway. The tower has no door, only seamless ivy and stone, and a moon-garden
catches the braid's end.
The Legend
The tale: for a handful of stolen greens, a sorceress takes a child and raises her in a tower with no door, no stair, only a
high window. The girl grows up singing into the evenings, and her hair grows long enough to be the only ladder. A king's
son follows the voice through the woods, hearing her long before he sees her. So whose tower was it really? It was someone
else's fear built around her, but the voice was always hers, and the voice is what found the way out. Walls can be another
person's doing. Whoever built yours, keep singing at the window. The right ones navigate by sound.
You Might Know This If:
• Somebody's protection has become your fence, stone by stone
• Your world has been growing smaller for years, politely
• You can't remember the last truly new face in your life
• Explaining the tower feels harder than staying in it
• Part of you has started calling the tower cozy
In Your Body
Settle in and notice where the tower lives in your body: the throat where the unsung voice waits, the shoulders narrowed
to fit a window, the flutter under the collarbone, like a moth, when you imagine being truly heard.
What The Coloring Does
Start in the moon-garden at the base and climb the braid one plaited crossing at a time; each crossing is one evening she
sang anyway. Tuck color into the moonflowers as you pass, rest where the moth rests, and do not skip to the window. The
braid is woven out of patient evenings, and your hand feels how many it takes.
After Coloring, Take Five Minutes:
1.
Breathe. One slow breath. A voice carries farther than a wall stands.
2.
Color. Climb from the moon-garden upward, crossing by plaited crossing.
3.
Notice. Who laid the stones around you, and when did you start helping?
4.
Write. Finish this sentence in the margin: Tonight my voice reaches…
